Technical Assistance to technical and QA manager
Remuneration: – R12,000 Basic salary

·As the senior supporting technician in Johannesburg, you will be preparing all players to be installed, for our technicians and contracted companies. All players prepped must have a QA procedure attached to them and supplied to the PA to file so we have history on all prepped machines.
·You will be responsible for training internal technicians and contractors on our books and make sure they are trained up on our hardware (displays, players, modems etc), software, troubleshooting on our images and MT documentation processes. You will also be responsible for creating check lists to ensure no mistakes are made on site.
·Work hand in hand with R&D, to make sure systems are rock solid.
·From time to time you might be required to assist the technicians if they need assistance on site.
Site QA (Visual, MT installation and maintenance best practices adherence)
·Making sure sites are ready before the installations company are dispatched, no installations company can be expected to return to site; (with far sites telephonic confirmation is fine)
·Training external installation companies are properly trained up on the MT documentation and the installation to be completed;
·Shadow external installers intermittently and then signing them off as approved installers on that specific installation. From time to time you might have to shadow train installers to make sure their quality of work are still up to scratch.
·Assist QA manager with QA inspections on installed sites once the installation has been completed to make sure the job was done within MT expected minimum requirements.
·Doing QA checks on existing sites from time to time to make sure sites are still in an acceptable condition.
·Be aware of all projects happening and where you must assist.
·Leasing with steel manufacturers to make sure we have all special brackets made within spec and correct for any special requirements.
Minimum qualified computer technician with experience in Linux
Experience in basic networking and router setup
Able to create detail technical manuals and do training.
Attention to detail. Keen eye to see mistakes and finding solutions how to correct them permanently
Minimum post matric qualification.
Able to work solo and get things done.
High performance environment.
Must be able to deal with pressure situations.
Punctual, respectful and working in a team environment is vital
