HR Generalist (JHB)

Moving Tactics, a well established Digital Signage Company with over 20 years’ experience in the industry is looking for an HR Generalist to join the team. 

We’re looking for an HR Generalist to assist in the following key areas, such as job design; recruitment and selection; training and development; performance management; compensation and benefits; labour relations and disciplinary action.

HR is a core function to the business and plays a fundamental role in the business strategy and goals. We are very passionate about who we are and what we do and we’re looking for someone who shares the same values that will take the department even further. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Recruitment:

  • Post adverts and allocate billing to designated Company
  • Shortlist and schedule interviews
  • Coordinate the interview process 
  • Diary management – Set up interviews with Dept Heads/Management
  • Conduct first round interviews
  • Conduct candidate background and reference checks
  • Send rejection emails to unsuccessful candidates
  • Compile contract and supporting material 
  • Manage employee induction/onboarding process

Employee Management:

  • Manage Employee profiles (probation, YOS, benefits, birthdays)
  • Assist with contract changes (contracts, JD’s, profile updates)
  • Sage ESS Management
  • Appraisal scheduling and reporting (February and August)
  • Prepare annual workshops and complete documentation
  • Assist in responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters
  • Drafting letters, policies & notices for employees
  • Implement special corporate events and socials gatherings in all regions
  • Implement health and wellness initiatives
  • Assist with drafting disciplinary actions (warnings) and bi-monthly evaluations
  • Compile contracts and supporting material
  • Terminate employee profiles
  • Assist with company newsletter

BBBEE:

  • Assist with annual WSP reporting (compiling training reports & supporting documents)
  • Skills Development (training courses, bookings, certification and reporting)
  • Manage learnership stipends and monthly reporting
  • Manage Yes4Youth onboarding and administration

OHS:

  • Complete monthly OHS checklists and follow up on reports for CPT 
  • Book training and following up on certificates
  • Manage diaries (courses and expiration dates)

General:

  • Keep HR documents up to date and office organised
  • General HR Admin and filing
  • Other tasks where necessary
  • Constantly improve HR Processes
  • Assist with monthly newsletters
  • Keep regions up to date with social calendar and events

Reporting:

  • Daily HR report 
  • Yes4Youth status report (monthly)
  • Learnership status report (monthly)
  • HR – General Updates

Desired Experience & Qualification:

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or similar relevant qualification 
  • Min 3 years experience in a similar position 
  • Must be computer literate (Microsoft package)
  • A passion to continuously explore and improve in HR related fields
  • Good understanding in LRA & BCEA

Package & Remuneration:

Basic salary: R15,000
