To celebrate Women’s Day and recognise the invaluable contributions of women, both within Moving Tactics and across the digital signage industry, we’re shining a spotlight on Shamiemah Meyer, Content Manager at Moving Tactics, whose success story is one of empowerment, inspiration, and longevity. Shamiemah originally joined the business in April 2008 as the Tea Lady, and after just two years, she had worked her way up to become a Junior Content Manager. Now, 15 years later, she holds the position of Content Manager, overseeing some of our largest client accounts.
According to Shamiemah, she takes every challenge as an opportunity. “I have a very positive mindset that has allowed me to learn and grow in my career. As a Content Manager, I am accountable for meeting tight deadlines and ensuring that content is scheduled accurately across multiple client networks. While this can sometimes be challenging, given the fast-paced nature of the industry, my resilience lies in staying motivated and focused when issues arise, allowing me to overcome these obstacles. “My advice to other aspiring women in the industry is to acknowledge that the future belongs to those who believe in their dreams!”
When asked if Shamiemah has any female role models that have inspired her in her digital signage career journey, she says, “Yes, Lynn Jamey, our Senior Content Manager at Moving Tactics. She continuously offers me guidance and support”.
Chris Day, Managing Director at Moving Tactics, says, “Shamiemah’s sheer determination to learn and grow herself and put in the hard yards is the simple reason why she is where she is today. We are so proud of you Miems!”
