Specialist digital signage IT support company, Attech Technologies, started trading in 2018 and has gone from strength to strength thanks to the investment of time and capital by Moving Tactics, South Africa’s leading digital signage solutions company. Through its Enterprise Development strategy, Moving Tactics worked with two of its previous employees, Tiyani Baloyi and Amu Hlungwane, to establish this one-of-a-kind business in the digital signage industry.
“We met each other working as IT Technicians at Moving Tactics, and having been entrepreneurs since high school, we decided to open our own business. It was funny the way we started as we targeted Moving Tactics as our first client. We sat down with them and submitted our business proposal. Once we resigned from Moving Tactics, we managed to get the contract and we’ve been servicing Moving Tactics for nearly three years now,” says Baloyi, co-Director of Attech Technologies.
Attech Technologies continues to grow and develop thanks to the financial and business support provided by Moving Tactics. “Our relationship is amazing. It’s nice when you know the company inside out having worked for them for more than five years. We have their full support and we are where we are today because of them.
“We did, however, face challenging times during lockdown last year. Prior to the pandemic, we were planning to develop an installation division and Moving Tactics supported us to purchase equipment and employ two installers. Unfortunately, these plans have since been put on hold as we had to use the financial aid that we received from them to pay our bills as we were not able to work,” explains Hlungwane, co-Director of Attech Technologies.
Apart from financial support, Moving Tactics ensures that Attech Technologies’ staff take part in biannual training workshops and provides site-specific internal training. “We are constantly benefiting from training, which is extremely important as technology changes all the time. We are very thankful that Moving Tactics gave us the opportunity to start our own business and then became our first clients. Many big companies wouldn’t allow this,” concludes Baloyi.
“It has been inspiring for us to see how Amu and Tiyani have grown their business and we are proud to be able to call upon them as reliable and consistent suppliers to work with our clients on an on-going basis,” adds Chris Day, Managing Director of Moving Tactics.
